We’re looking for a Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and
repairing electrical, plumbing, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems within the
mill.
What you will do
- Apply knowledge of electrical, plumbing and mechanical principles to diagnose and repair equipment and facility malfunctions and restore equipment.
- Assist in the installation, modification, and upgrade of machinery and support systems.
- Conduct preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on electrical, plumbing, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and components.
- Document maintenance activities and communicate effectively with operations staff to ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner.
- Follow all company safety protocols and maintain a safe, organized work environment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the needs of the sawmill.
- Provide skilled maintenance support across all manufacturing areas, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and repair a wide range of equipment and systems.
Requirements
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team, including strong communication with operators and supervisors.
- Ability to commute with reliable transportation. May be required to run local errands.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; a 2-year degree/certificate in electrical, plumbing, mechanical, hydraulic, or pneumatic fields preferred.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. and working in varying environmental conditions.
- Previous experience in electrical, plumbing, welding, or mechanical work strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to quickly identify and resolve issues.
