We are seeking a Construction Lead with timber framing experience to join our team. As Construction Lead, you will assist in all aspects of company construction projects.
What you will do
- Advocating for safe use of tools and equipment and general shop safety
- Communicating and collaborating with other project team members
- Finishing material by planing, sanding, and staining/oiling
- Hand cutting timbers using a combination of hand and power tools
- Lifting or carrying heavy material and/or tools
- Operating stationary and power tools used in woodworking shops
- Reading, laying out and cutting material based on architectural drawings
- Standing for long periods of time
- Working outside in all weather conditions
Requirements
- 5 years timber framing experience required
- 5 years general construction experience required
- Bilingual English-Spanish is preferred
- Expert listening and communication skills
- Forklift experience preferred but not required (training is available)
- Positive, proactive and helpful attitude with a willingness to learn
- Strong attention to detail
